Christmas Ice Skating at Manchester Ice Rink in London Road
The Winter Gathering is the perfect place to soak up the Christmas atmosphere in Manchester City Centre
Manchester Ice Rink is back on 11th November 2016 right up to Boxing Day and better than ever in our new home in London Road Fire Station, just across from Piccadilly Station. The perfect festive activity where friends, family and loved ones can skate under the stars while enjoying a wide variety of food and attractions in this atmospheric building.
Manchester Ice Rink welcomes all ages and ability of skaters, whether you’re a pro or a first timer, you will be sure to enjoy the experience in this stunning Manchester City Centre location. The 620sqm of real ice rink is one of the largest rinks in the Greater Manchester area and can hold up to 120 skaters. Sessions last for 45 minutes and we advise that skaters arrive 15 to 20 minutes before their session to get their skates on.
You don’t need to be worried if you haven’t skated before as there is a handrail right around all sides of the rink for your safety. The Manchester Ice Rink experienced team of Ice Marshals will only be too pleased to offer assistance and advice on how to enjoy your skating. There is also a great sound system with DJ’s and live music and we have a super state of the art light show to enhance the experience.
The family focused sessions are the first three sessions of the day when all the skating penguins are on the ice and the staff will also provide hands on assistance. There is no separate kiddies rink due to space restrictions at Manchester Ice Rink, however they do provide skates for all ages and they have got great skating aids.
